PROJECT 3a

SPLISH SPLASH

I'M TAKING A BATH!

OBJECTIVE

This is the first group asg we had for this semester which involved 3 person. We are required to design a ‘situation’ on how we could express relieve; based on a selection of activities listed as below: free from a discomfort, to discharge the bowel.

The idea of the project is to understand human ergonomics and anthropometrics; height, width, proportion etc. through the expression of RELIEVE.

SITUATION

Process

  1. Wild jungle area

  2. Beachside

  3. Possible Danger (animal/human/insect)

  4. Place to relieve/Free from discomfort

  5. How the water supply/ electricity come?

  6. Location of the toilet

SKETCH IDEAS

For our bathroom, we choose to design a semi open-spaced which have no door for better ventilation. The curvy design also perfectly covered and differentiated the bathroom and toilet part and prevent the towel from getting wet.

We used tinted glass on the bathroom side for the person to enjoy the Seaview. Even with no door, the toilet is still secure with personal privacy, not visible from outside as asian culture value privacy.
