Assignment 1 - The Green King Kong

Hulk is a superhero not only because how strong he was and what superpower he has, Hulk is a superhero because of how he is willing to control his anger , control the superpower and not to ruins the world.
To begin with, let’s have a simple illustration about Hulk’s outlook. Hulk is a green-skinned, hulking and muscular gigantic superhero. He has only a pants with him with no any weapon or fancy suit. He himself is the strongest weapon and his bulletproof and fireproof skin made him unkillable. He often shout and roar and show his muscular body before fight which made me think of King Kong.
From the aspect of design , I think that had been well designed as based on my studies, green is the colour of life which represents nature, renewal and energy. Hulk gained his superpower naturally without the help of any technology and any assist of weapon, and his superpower has no limitation of usage and times which can consider as renewable energy. Besides that, Hulk is designed to be huge and muscular as in common , muscular means strength. So we can easily know that Hulk is powerful and have strong strength just by first sight.And if you ever think of why can't he be small and strong? Well, he did it at last but also one things is that he might not be bulletproof or fire proof when he did not transform so he might be strong when he is small but he is unkillable when he is big and strong. It is not that size matter but the setting of the design. As for me he already have no fancy suit or weapon, if he remain in normal Bruce Banner state, will make him looks ways toonormal. We still need some visual illustration so I think huge, green, muscular suit Hulk more.
In the movie we can often see that Hulk always roar and shout, Hulk also act like an animal sometimes. At my point of views, animals often roars and shouts to frighten their enemies or to show their power, occupied territory and to warn the others before the physical attack happens. Hulk might want to frighten away the enemies or warn the other not to hurt him to avoid the war. Moreover, Hulk acting like an animal might be due to mentally loss of control of himself as the most different among human and animal is that human are mindfulness while animal have no intelligences that's why we can't communicate with animals with languages. So when Hulk loss of control of himself, he often acts like an animal being very offensive to protect himself and his love one.
For me , I think that Hulk is not only for entertaining purpose, it's also exists for an educational purpose. As Hulk's superpower are mainly depending on his anger. His level of strength is conveyed as proportionate to his anger. There is a reasons why Hulk can be a teaching materials to young children as Hulk can be related to real life situation so much even Hulk is so destructive.
"You won't like me when I'm angry" , this is one of the Hulk's catchphrases. Do you ever have the same feeling as him when someone make you angry and you try to warn them before things get serious. But same as what happen in the movie, the worker bullied the physically weak Bruce Banner and triggered him into the strong powerful Hulk. In real life also people often like to drive you crazy and only realised how serious the impact after things happen to be irreparable. From this, parents could educated their child never challenge the limitation of the other as everyone have their own anger and when people loss their mind they might act like an animal and animal are unreasonable especially when they are mad. This could be an educational material to stop children from bullying other and have more empathy about other.
Anger are normally seems as rage and negative things as anger exist when something bad happens or someone going against you but in Hulk I see anger as a good things. Hulk has rage but he is also heartful and kind as long as he is not triggered. Hulk taught us not to let anger drive you but you should control your anger. It's not easy to have control on owns emotion especially you're in angry state but you should know what you are doing and may lead to what serious impact. Just like in the movie, Hulk always lost control of his anger and he destroy a lot of things and things take time and effort , and finally Hulk able to get controlled of his superpower. Hulk is the only superhero who make anger looks positive which give you strength and power.
Hulk is a special superhero as different from the other superhero, Hulk did a lot of damage and he did not save the world at the very beginning like what the other superhero normally does. Hulk is a very extreme superhero ,he is so wild that he even fight almost every superhero including Captain America in the early day. Hulk subverted the traditional impression of superhero that superhero made no mistake. Even superhero faced conflicts when they need to come together to work together, is ok that normal people like us made mistake as long as we change ourselves to good like what Hulk has done. Over time Hulk has begin recognised for his place in the adventures and become one of the teammate. This also taught me that even you did something wrong in the past it doesn't means that you can't be good in the future and you can be accepted back again just like Hulk , it's never late to be good.
Furthermore, I found a big different between Hulk and the other superhero. A lot of the superhero are rich or with good looking which give me a impression that superhero are great is because of their richness and their good looking when I was young. So when I was young, I think that superhero are great because of all those aspect and I never admire any of them as in my mind, if I'm rich enough like them or I'm born with those superpower, I might also a superhero. For example, Batman is a million-air and he occupied those high technologies, he have fancy suit and fancy car. Batman is so well known for his richness along with the superpower. But only Hulk made me though that is not easy to be a superhero, you need to sacrificed a lot , such as your love one, your time and even your normal life. Hulk also not born rich but he is a genius intellect which already give contribution to the society in real life. Hulk shows the truths of how hard to handle anger but also shows that it is possible to handle your anger if you are determined. You are not somebody because of your richness ,you can be a simple person not as rich as privilege as other people but you are still strong , just like hulk.
The last but not least things which made Hulk different form the other superhero is that Hulk does not gained his superpower since born , he get it by accident and he even hate this superpower at first as he have no control over the transformation. Not only anger, heartbeat is also the other things to trigger Hulk's superpower. It's more difficult for Hulk to adapt his superpower as he don't even know was him ready to control his transformation and he couldn't try and error as if anything go wrong no one could stop him as he is unbeatable. He need to learn to control his own superpower without any assist not like the other superhero. From this, Hulk has taught me that even the accident were unfortunate but it is also what made him strong and what made him who he was now. Although the accident are unfortunate but some accident are more beautiful than what are planned, some accident bring you go out from your comfort zone and make you who you are just like what happen in real life. As long as you don't lose your faith, even negative aspect such as destructive power and anger can be a good things.
In conclusion, Hulk is extraordinary as he is a superhero and at the same time Hulk is everyone's dark side before being able to handle owns anger and being good. Everyone have the same destructivity like Hulk but also have the same ability to did good for others and make this world a better world also like Hulk. Hulk is destructive but attractive at the same time because of his choices of being good. Everyone is Hulk but not anyone can be like Hulk.

I'm quite lost and confused what I need to do for this assignment
so I wrote down whatever I know and whatever information I have in order for myself to understand

RESEARCH
After I understand what I need to do for this assignment, I first finalise and choose the hero that I want to write about
Then I had make quite an amount of research on him
To be honest, at first I only search about characteristics and speciality superpower of hulk but I end up confused and the information about hulk online is actually quite limited
so at last I decided to watch the full movie in order to let myself to understand hulk in more complete and to have my own personal perspective on him.
so most of my note is characteristics of hulk that commonly known and my own views and what I think I learnt from hulk.
